      The events continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the Leominster Public Library, 30 West St., Leominster, with an intergenerational discussion of the book led by Professor Robert Carr (Communications Media) and his students. Leominster Public Library. Local History. Leominster Monument Square This special collection includes many types of material on the city of Leominster. Also included is information about Massachusetts state, counties and communities, and some history of the other New England states.

The Leominster Social Library began in with approximately books, which were kept in a pine secretary in the study of Reverend Francis Gardner. This secretary was later given to the Library Committee by Reverend Gardner’s granddaughter, and today can be viewed on the second floor adjacent to the Reference Desk.
